At the age of 16, Cheryl began working at Wingham Memorials where she became interested in memorial design and production of monuments.
Cheryl attended the Barre Regional Voc-Tech Center in Barre Vermont and studied Memorial Design & Store trades. While there she trained at Rock of Ages under Master Carver specializing in shape carving. Upon the completion of the course, Cheryl moved back to Ontario.
While working full time for area memorial companies, Cheryl began to build her own company.
Cheryl realized that there was market for engraved rocks signs. The "Campbell's", her first custom engraved rock creation started the ball rolling, and word of mouth brought many new projects and more Custom Rock Creations were appearing around the countryside!
You can tell a Custom Rock Creations sign as they are signed with hooked double C's and truly stand out from others thru the use of Balance between white space and design as each layout is custom designed to fit the shape of the rock. Since then, CRC has grown to become a full time venture making the move to a permanent shop.
In the fall of 2006, Cheryl moved into suitable facilities at Fisher Landscaping Supplies at 258 Exeter Road in London Ontario.
